Description In order to inform the preparation of Liberia's Poverty Reduction Strategy, a Core Welfare Questionnaire Indicator survey was implemented in 2007 by the Liberia's Institute of Statistics and Geo-Information Services. This paper uses this survey to estimate the level of poverty and vulnerability in the country, provide a profile of poverty, and analyze household level determinants of consumption and poverty. Slightly less than two third of the population (63.8 percent) is estimated to be poor.
