The Nation-wide Establishment Listing of Cambodia 2009 (EL2009) was conducted with 9 February 2009 as the reference date. The EL2009 covered all of fixed establishments in the whole territory of Cambodia. It was the first time in the history of Cambodia. The final results of the EL2009 were released on December 2009 after data processing for ten months.
The listing aims to:
(1) Produce statistics of distribution of establishments and persons engaged according to various regional breakdown.
(2) Develop a national comprehensive frame for economic surveys and 2011 Economic Census of Cambodia.
(3) Develop a census frame for the 2011 Economic Census of Cambodia.

(1) Name of establishment
(2) Sex of representative of establishment
(3) Address of establishment
(4) Registered to Ministry of Commerce or not
(5) Ownership of organization (Legal status)
(6) Head office or branch
(7) Number of persons engaged by sex
(8) Kind of business activities (Industrial classification)
(9) Telephone number of establishment

Forty (40) Supervisors, mostly NIS officers) supervised 358 Enumerators, mostly provincial or district planning officers. Therefore, there were roughly 9 enumerators under 1 supervisor.

The data will be used for statistical and scientific research purposes only. They will be used solely for reporting of aggregated information, and not for investigation of specific individuals or organizations.

No attempt will be made to re-identify respondents, and no use will be made of the identity of any person or establishment discovered inadvertently. Any such discovery would immediately be reported to the National Institute of Statistics.

No attempt will be made to produce links among datasets provided by the National Institute of Statistics, or among data from the National Institute of Statistics and other datasets that could identify individuals or organizations.

Any books, articles, conference papers, theses, dissertations, reports, or other publications that employ data obtained from the National Institute of Statistics will cite the source of data in accordance with the Citation Requirement provided with each dataset.

An electronic copy of all reports and publications based on the requested data will be sent to the National Institute of Statistics.
Use of the dataset must be acknowledged using a citation which would include:
- the Identification of the Primary Investigator
- the title of the survey (including country, acronym and year of implementation)
- the survey reference number
- the source and date of download
