The 2023 Results Monitoring Survey (RMS) in South Sudan, conducted between April 2023 and July 2024, aimed to assess key indicators related to mobility, disability, housing, basic needs, safety, income, and gender-based violence among refugee returnees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). The survey was carried out using Computer-Assisted Personal Interviews (CAPI) across 41 counties in 9 states of South Sudan, reaching a total of 6,266 households. This survey was conducted through a mix of simple random sampling and selections from lists provided by local authorities. Sampling
The 2023 Results Monitoring Survey (RMS) in South Sudan employed a combination of simple random sampling and purposive selection from lists provided by local authorities (RRC) in some locations. Sampling was stratified by population type (internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugee returnees) across 9 states and 41 counties. A total of 6,266 households were sampled, with data collected through face-to-face interviews using Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI). This approach ensured representative data for both IDPs and refugee returnees, providing crucial insights into the living conditions of these population groups.
