Labour Force Sample Survey 2012 LFS 2012 Labour Force Sample Survey 2012 EGY_2012_LFS_v01_M Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, CAPMAS (c)CAPMAS labour force sample survey (Fourth quarter, 2012) NADA Presss Capmas Labor Force Survey [hh/lfs] 1 - The CAPMAS carried out the first LFS in november 1957 and since that tme the LFS is conducted on a yearly or quarterly basis. 2 - In 2006 significant methodological changes were introduced as following: a- Changes in the sampling methodology to allow for a better follow-up of the dynamic changes within the labour market b- The questionnaire is improved to allow for a better and more precise identification of the status in employment (employed, unemployed, out of the labour force,etc.) and also to improve the logic and the organisation of the different sections in the questionnaire. 3 - Starting from 2008, the data collection methods has been improved to be more representative and conducted at intervals sufficiently frequent for the management purpose: Governorates sample are divided into five sub-samples and each one is conducted in a half-monthly basis Labour Force Employment Unemployment Underemployment Informal Work Social Protection (includes Pensions, Safety Nets, Social Funds) Wages Education The CAPMAS carried out the first LFS in november 1957 and since that tme the LFS is conducted on a yearly or quarterly. Definition of household and household members: A person or a group of persons who share their living regardless of whether they share family or marriage bonds.
