This technical brief examines current evidence, knowledge and practice relating to the prevention of
moderate acute malnutrition (MAM) through nutrition-sensitive interventions in various sectors. This
brief was developed based on a review of many types of evidence including ‘grey’ research, published
research, systematic literature reviews, ongoing impact evaluations and other plausible research
systematically collected.
