Description
Definition
VACDPTHB3YR_NP reports the year (according to Vikram Samvat, the official calendar in Nepal) that children received their third DPT-HepB vaccination, which vaccinates against diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, and hepatitis B. This information is only available for children born in the 5 years before the survey whose third DPT-HepB vaccination date was recorded on a card shown to the interviewer. VACDPTHB3YR_NP is only available for the Nepali samples.
The complementary variables VACDPTHB3DAY_NP and VACDPTHB3MO_NP report the day of the month and the month of the third DPT-HepB vaccination according to Vikram Samvat, as recorded on a vaccination card shown to the interviewer.
According to the DHS Recode Manuals, the vaccination date may be coded as "Inconsistent" if the reported date is inconsistent with the date of birth, the date of interview, or the dates of other vaccinations.
To identify all young children who received the third DPT-HepB vaccination, including those identified through the mother's report rather than a dated vaccination card, see VACDPTHB3.
