Description

Definition
CHEBALIVEMN (MV218) reports the total number of surviving biological children fathered by the male respondent. The number reported in CHEBALIVEMN (MV218) is the sum of a series of variables reporting the total number of sons and daughters who are living at home and who are living away from home (MV202 to MV205 - SONSATHOMEMN, DAUSATHOMEMN, SONSAWAYHOMEMN, and DAUSAWAYHOMEMN).

The related variable CHEBMN (MV201) reports the total number of children ever fathered by the male respondent, regardless of survival status.
