Definition
Pondok Bersalin Desa (Polindes) adalah bangunan yang dibangun dengan sumbangan dana
pemerintah dan partisipasi masyarakat desa untuk tempat pertolongan persalinan dan
pemondokan ibu bersalin, sekaligus tempat tinggal bidan di desa. Di samping pertolongan
persalinan juga dilakukan pelayanan Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak (KIA), Keluarga Berencana (KB),
dan pelayanan kesehatan lain sesuai kebutuhan masyarakat dan kompentensi teknis bidan
tersebut.
