Definition
For children whose mothers received antenatal care, ANCPK2 indicates whether the mothers received care at a public basic health unit (BHU) or family welfare center (FWC). This response category is country-specific to Pakistan.

Some samples in the "ANC" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

ANCPK2 is combined with ANCPK1 (public rural health center/mother and child health center) in ANCPUBHC (all public health centers) for the 2006, 2012, and 2017 Pakistan surveys. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ANCPK2 are encouraged to review ANCPUBHC for a more comprehensive response category.
