Definition
For women who are not currently using a contraceptive method, FPNONTZ3 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported a public referral hospital as a source of family planning. This response category is country-specific to Tanzania.

Some samples in the "FPNON" series include multiple categories that can be consolidated into a single broad response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable, while also preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

FPNONTZ3 is combined with FPNONTZ1 (regional hospital), and FPNONTZ2 (district hospital) in FPNONPUBHOS for the 2010 Tanzanian sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using FPNONTZ3 are encouraged to review FPNONPUBHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
