MAIZUGALIWK indicates whether the household prepared ugali with maize flour in the past 7 days. Ugali is a starch dish, prepared from maize, millet, or sorghum, that is a staple food in much of Africa, eaten with a sauce or stew of vegetables or meat. This line of questioning was probably aimed at evaluating the frequency and effects of consuming of fortified maize flour.

The information in MAIZUGALIWK is taken from the household record and applies to regular household residents, not temporary visitors.
