Definition
AIDKNOWONE2MN is a variable that double-checks whether the man personally knows someone who currently has (or is suspected to have) HIV/AIDS or who died of AIDS. This confirmatory question was asked after the man answered questions about knowing someone who had experienced discrimination due to their (suspected) HIV status.

The related variable AIDKNOWONEMN indicates whether the man knows someone who had or died from AIDS, and simply collects information rather than confirming the accuracy of responses to earlier questions.
