Description

Definition
TVBRIG serves as a bridging variable between two approaches to collecting information on exposure to television. For DHS Phases 1-3, respondents were asked whether they watch television at least once a week (TVWK (V110)). Beginning in DHS Phase 4, respondents were asked how often they watch television (TVFQ (V159)).

TVBRIG uses composite coding to combine data from these two approaches; see Comparability.
