Definition
For children with diarrhea in the past 2 weeks, DIATRMZ3 indicates, in response to an open-ended question, whether the child received treatment from a public rural hospital. This response category is country-specific to Mozambique.

Some samples in the "DIATR" series include multiple categories that can be consolidated into a single broad response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable, while also preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

DIATRMZ3 is combined with DIATRMZ1 (Public central hospital) and DIATRMZ2 (Public provincial hospital) in DIATRPUBHOS (all public hospitals) for the 1997 Mozambique sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using DIATRMZ3 are encouraged to review DIATRPUBHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
