Definition
For children with diarrhea in the past 2 weeks, DIATRML3 indicates, in response to an open-ended question, whether the child received treatment from a reference health center ("CSREF"). This response category is country-specific to Mali.

Some samples in the "DIATR" series include multiple categories that can be consolidated into a single broad response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable, while also preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

DIATRML3 is combined with DIATRML4 (community health center ("CSCOM")) in DIATRPUBHC (all public health centers) for the 2012 Mali sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using DIATRML3 are encouraged to review DIATRPUBHC for a more comprehensive response category.
