Description

Definition
GRENBROLLY indicates whether the respondent had heard of or seen the Green Umbrella logo. This is a country-specific variable for Bangladesh.

In 1996, the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Department of Bangladesh initiated the Green Umbrella campaign, with the slogan "for health and family planning, go to the place where you see the green umbrella [logo]." This campaign supporting use of public integrated health services also incorporated publicity through a television drama. Survey questions about the Green Umbrella logo were designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the outreach campaign, in terms of raising awareness of the logo and its meaning.
