Description

Definition
For children with diarrhea in the past 2 weeks, DIATROTHDRUG indicates, in response to an open-ended question, whether the child received treatment from an informal drug or street vendor.

IPUMS-DHS users should be careful to distinguish this variable from DIATRPUBDRUG and DIATRPRIVDRUG, country-specific variables that refer to public drug sources and private, formal drug sources, respectively.
