El Grupo en la CCIF corresponde a la desagregación de las Divisiones. Es un nivel de desagregación por finalidades de bienes y servicios más específicos, por lo que comprende 47 categorías establecidas por la ONU. En la encuesta se agregan 12 categorías adicionales al Grupo, las cuales corresponden a los bienes y servicios no desglosados en cada División.
