<span class="h3">3.18 Migration:</span></p>
<p>Migration means moving between villages or municipal areas within 5 years before the date of census.</p>
<p>Moving within the same municipal areas or villages is not regarded as migration.</p>
<p>Bangkok and Pattaya City are regarded as other municipal areas.</p>

<p>Ask those who are 5 years old and over, or who were born before or in 1974 (Tiger year)</p>
<p><span class="em">Column 18 </span></p>
<p>Ask "How long have you been living in this village/municipality?" </p>
<p>For those temporarily leaving for aboard and being there on the date of census, do not ask this column. </p>
<p>Record "number of years" the person has been living in the village/municipality as of the date of census. If that person has lived less than 1 year, record "0."</p>
<p><span class="em">Columns 19 - 21 </span></p>
<p>Ask only the persons recorded 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or "X" in Column 18.</p>
<p><span class="em">Column 19 Name of the last living province before moving into the present residence</span></p>
<p>Ask "Could you tell me the name of the last province you had lived before moving into this place?" record "name of the province."</p>
<p>If moving within the same province, record "name of the district." If moving from other countries, "record name of the country."</p>

<p>Ask only those who migrated within Thailand.</p>
<p>Ask "Have you moved from the village or municipality?" </p>
