<svar a="all" v="ZA01A442"><span class="em">Question P-17a -- Field of education</span><br />Ask for all persons with a post-school qualification.<br /><br />"In which field is (the person's) highest post-school qualification?"<br /><br />The respondent may not know have the exact qualifications of some members of the household. You may have to probe to decide on a field of study.<br /><br />You can show the prompt card at the back of the 09 book to the respondent so that s/he can look for the correct field. The prompt card is useful for this question because there are so many categories to read out and remember.<br /><br />If the person wants to indicate more than one field of study, ask him or her to indicate the field in which he or she has the highest level of education. If he or she has several fields of the same level, ask him or her to choose the field that is most related to his or her work (now or previously).<br /></svar>
