Description

Definition
This variable indicates monthly income before taxes in South African currency (R) and includes all sources of income. Person could identify weekly, monthly or annual income on the enumeration form, but this data was then standardized to represent monthly income in this variable. This question was asked of all persons, whether working or not at the time of the census.
