Description

Definition
This variable indicates whether the location is urban or rural.

Urban is defined as having a municipal or local authority boundaries in an ordinary town or city, area with mainly informal dwellings (squatter areas), area with mainly hostels, or an area with mainly institutions (prisons, hospitals).

Rural is defined as adjacent to a municipal border or not sharing a boundary with an urban municipal area and a semi-town with predominantly formal dwellings, area with mainly informal dwellings, are with mainly hostels, area with mainly institutions, semi-town with predominantly formal dwellings, village/settlement without local autority, tribal authority area with villages, area with farms and agriculture, or a tribal authority area outside of villages.
