<p>According to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization

<p>Formal education is the "education given in the school system, high schools, universities, and other establishments of formal education. It normally constitutes a continuous "ladder" of learning of full days for children and youth, generally starting at 5 to 7 years until 20 or 25 years of age.</p>
