5.1.2 Items 7, 8, 15 and 16: Identification of sample households: The identification particulars of the sample household, i.e. the substratum number (1 or 2) to which the sample household belongs, sample household number (order of selection), house number and the name of the head of the household are to be copied from block 6 of schedule 0.1/0.2 against items 7, 8, 15 and 16 respectively. The sub-stratum number will be 1 or 2 according to whether the sample household appears in columns 15 or 16 of schedule 0.1 for rural areas and 17 or 18 of block 6 of schedule 0.2 for urban areas. For sub-stratum 1, the sample household number will be copied from column 15 (Schedule 0.1) in the case of rural areas and from column17 (schedule 0.2) in the case of urban areas. Similarly, the sample household number for sub-stratum 2 will be copied from column16, block 6 (schedule 0.1) for rural areas and column18 block 6 (schedule 0.2) for urban areas. For each sample household, the house number and the name of the head of the household are to be copied respectively from columns 1 and 3 of block 6 of schedule 0.1 for rural areas and schedule 0.2 for urban areas.
