Description

Definition
Education Unit is a group of educational services that provide education in formal, non-formal, and informal at all levels and types of education.
Formal education is a structured educational pathways and tiered consisting of elementary education, secondary education, and higher education. Non-formal education is the path of education outside the formal education that can be implemented in a structured and tiered. Informal education is the family education and environmental pathways.
Education units covered by the data collection is Podes formal and non-formal education. Including formal education is TK / BA / RA, SD / MI, SMP / MTs, SMA / MA, SMK,
Academy / PT / equivalent, SLB. Belt of non-formal education such as boarding schools, madrasas diniyah, seminary and the like.
SLB is the educational facilities that cater for learners who have difficulties in learning because of physical, emotional, and mental.
Schools are educational institutions starting from primary, intermediate, and high.
In this 2008 Documenting Podes noted kindergarten schools, special schools, boarding schools, madrasas diniyah, and the seminary or the like, but does not include education study group package.
Education were noted in Question 601.a through 601.g is formal education by the Ministry of Education curriculum, including education organized by the boarding school by wearing the Ministry of Education curriculum, such as the Government Elementary School (MI), junior secondary school (MTs) , and Madrasah Aliyah (MA).
Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) is the Islamic religious educational institutions, community-based education diniyah or integrated with other types of education (PP. 55 of 2007). Ponpes (mosques, prayer room, home office or in the village). Learning materials diniyah madrasah is the Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqh / worship, Aqeedah / ahlak, the history of Islam and Arabic culture.
Seminary or similar institution is Christian / Catholic and typically provide dormitories for the students in the educational complex. Example is like the Bible for Religious Education Protestant.
