Definition
Village or called by any other name, is a the legal entity that has the authority to regulate and manage the interests of the local community based on the origin and local customs that recognized in the National Government and system is in the district (Act No. 32 of 2004).
Note: in reality there is still a village located in the city area.
Urban Village is a an area that led by a headman as the regencies and cities under district or area. (Law No. 32 Year 2004 on Regional Government).
Nagari is a part of the area in the district is working environments nagari government implementation.
Others, when status of governance in addition to rural / urban, eg Transmigration Settlement Unit (UPT), Disadvantaged Community Settlement (PMT) that still fostered by the relevant departments.
