Questions and instructions

Question pretext
During the specified period, did you or any member of your family consume cereals and cereal preperations?
Literal question
On the average, how much is your weekly consumption of the following?
Interviewer instructions
Biscuits and cookies baked at home do not fall under this category. However, the flour used in making any of these is to be reported in Item 5 (Flour). Take note that biscuits may either be bought in cans, packages or in pieces. Note that the quantity and the value to be reported here refer to the average/normal consumption of the family per week. Hence, for a family that is in the habit of buying biscuits or cookies in large quantities, follow the estimation procedure outlined in Item 1 (rice) in getting an estimate of the week's consumption.
