Interviewer instructions
This is a close-ended question with answers coded by capitals. Purpose of this question is to get to know respondent’s knowledge of major reasons for people to get gonorrhea, syphilis, hepatitis B. Therefore, interview method here is that at first, an interviewer speaks to the respondent about the main question, after that read each respective reason, waiting for answers from the respondent to circle an applicable code. You only circle an applicable code as soon as the respondent answer ‘Yes’, do not circle codes for other answers. After that you have read and recorded fully this reason you skip to next reason. For example, after a main question is read you can ask “can unhygienic genitals get those above diseases?” Remark, the interviewer’s attitude must not be changed while you heard of any answers of the respondent, in spite of wrong answers. In that case, an answer of the respondent to your question is “Do not know” to all of the reasons, circle code ‘Y’ for ‘Do not know’.
