Interviewer instructions
This is a close-ended question with answers coded by numbers. In this question, the respondent evaluates himself/herself his/her degree of smoking that is heavy, normal or weak. If the respondent does not give an answer as expectation, for example his/her answer is number of smoking times per day (or number of cigarettes per day), you should convert them. Establishing as a convention that, if the respondent smokes 7 times and over per day, it is ‘Heavy’; from 4 to 6 times per day, it is ‘Normal’; under 3 times per day, it is ‘Weak’.
If a person smokes both cigarette and tobacco, number of smoking times is calculated by adding up number of smoking of two types of drug.
