On average, how much do you earn per month?
Interviewer instructions
With the above affair, the respondent calculates how number of average salaries/wages per month that respondent is paid or earn is. Calculation unit is “dong”, but when you record the questionnaire you round to unit “nghin dong” (dong thousand) into determined boxes. If you do that there are not enough 5 figures you put zeros ‘0’ in the first/left boxes. Convention of rounding is to remove “nghin dong” end part.
In case the respondent is paid (or the respondent earns himself/herself) in kind you convert number of that item to money which is calculated by price in the place that the respondent is residing and at interview point of time in order to record the questionnair
