Interviewer instructions
This question be asked independently of the information on the Household Questionnaire. Even if you already asked the respondent his/her age when you were completing the Household Questionnaire, you must ask again for her date of birth on the Individual Questionnaire.
Note that, usually a solar year is one month earlier than a lunar year. So when you convert a month of birth from a lunar calendar to a solar calendar, you must plus one to the month of lunar year.
If the respondent does not know his/her year of birth, do the same with the month of birth. If probing does not help in determine the respondent's year of birth, code "9998" in the appropriate boxes for the year.
