Definition
1. Immunization or vaccination is inserting certain attenuated germs or toxins(vaccine) into human body by means of injecting or drinking(dropping into mouth) in order to increase body immunity against the disease.
2. DPT (Diphteria ,Pertussis, Tetanus) is given to a baby aged 3 months or older, by injecting it on the thigh and should be repeated after 1 month and then again after 2 months. Thus, a complete DPT Immunization on toddlers are done 3 times (sometimes time lapse between injections can be more than one month).
