Description

Definition
This variable indicates the person's occupation (1-digit).

This is the edited version of the original variable that attempts to correct a major data error. For significant parts of the file all individuals within households received duplicate responses, even children. In such households, only the first person who reported that they worked last week retains a response. All other persons are coded out of the universe or to "unknown." There is an alternative version of this variable that retains the original responses for all persons.
Universe
Malawi 2008: Non-visitors age 6+ who worked last week, do subsistence work, or sought work
