For those members residing in a foreign country during the time of enumeration, his/her reason for migration will be the reason why he/she left for that country. As he/she is not present in the enumeration area, the question for reason for migration is not applicable for where the enumeration is being conduct.

Definition
Migration is the movement of people across a specific boundary for the purpose of establishing a new or semi permanent residence. Two types of migration are:

(i) International migration (migration between countries)
(ii) Internal migration (migration within a country).
