A descriptive transversal study of 74 children and their
caregivers was conducted to analyze nutritional characteristics.
Descriptive surveys were given to the caregivers to determine
the collective eating habits and access to basic healthy meals,
and anthropometric data from children was analyzed.
An appropriate weight/age ratio was found; however, chronic
malnutrition of 30.2% was seen in the data. It was also found
that the population is at risk of acute malnutrition by an average
of -1 standard deviation. An alternative concept was identified
for healthy eating of children and their caregivers, as well as a
low budget for healthy basic food meals.
