| Abstract | The main objective of this article was to analyze the income of workers in the retail and supermarkets in Colombia, from the perspective of human capital. The methodology is quantitative court where Mincer equations are used to estimate the returns to education with data from DANE 2009-2013 as Heckman method was applied to reduce selection bias. The main conclusion is that the occupations and trades that can be categorized within the retail and supermarkets tend to get diminishing returns to education in the period. |
