The Tonchigüe parish, belonging to the Canton Atacames, Esmeraldas Province,
bordered to the north by the Pacific Ocean, south to the canton Muisne, on the east by
SUA parish, on the west by the parish of San Francisco Muisne Canton, has a
population of 6,610 inhabitants.
The climate varies according to the different areas of the province, is humid tropical,
humid subtropical and humid subtropical; its main economic activities are agriculture,
livestock and fisheries.
It has a perfect beach that has many unexploited resources, about 4 km long, to relax
and unwind, sheltered by cliffs and surrounded by rock formations, where rocks and
fine sand are combined with an attractive landscape for the eyes of their visitors.
