Abstract | The paper explores the inevitable relationship between the two variables of income and expenditure of the youth in the course of their ageing process in Tehran City. Such age groups of 15-29 are highly vulnerable due to the emerging imbalance of their earnings and expenditure. Many young men and women are financially dependent on their parents' income even in their 20s. Such a scenario creates challenges for the youth in different ways. The article explores how the balance between income and expenditure will contribute to the improved and healthy life of the youth not only in Iran, but beauty in other developing countries too. Iran with a high youth position of population (33%) requires to do more to create secure and sustainable openings for its youth to eradicate such challenges and unfavorable situation. The emerging challenges also include marriage delay for both genders. In the present research, some 555 youth were examined through questionnaires in different neighborhoods of Tehran City. The research is mainly based on the hypothesis that: "reasonable permanent income determines the propensity to consume". As per need, different relevant theories were also consulted in the course of research. |
