Abstract |
This paper presents an exploratory research on the contribution of family businesses to Puerto Rico, a Caribbean country. This type of business contributes to the economy of the country and to its competitiveness, but never has been studied. The researcher prepared a data base on Puerto Rican family businesses for five years and used descriptive statistics to estimate how they contribute to the macroeconomics of the country considering indicators that are used to measure important aspects of the competitiveness of the countries. |
