Abstract | The paper examines the relationship between income and education expenditure in Pakistan. Low income acts as a m a j o r hindrance for parents from spending on their children’s education. Naturally they would prefer them to work and earn an income instead of spending on them. Thus, the overall educational attainment level in Pakistan is low as compared to other countries in the region.
