Abstract | Abstract: Maternal health related complication is one of the most prime women’s health problems of the world’s public health and its consequences are still the leading causes of death, disease and disability among women of reproductive age in developing countries. It is more serious in the case of developing countries like Bangladesh. This unacceptably low status of maternal health directly contributes to the high perinatal (newborn) mortality rate in the country. The high rate of maternal mortality continues to be a challenge for the Bangladesh. In order to improve utilization of antenatal care services, efforts to relieve poverty and empower women economically are needed. Any programs must take into consideration the specific socio-cultural context of the population. |
