Abstract | Planning and development of the languages of such a multilingual and pluricultural country as India is being done in different ways following different methods. The field has also posed many challenges. However, the Status and the Corpus Planning of the languages with the genetic as well as functional classifications done by the Government of India brought very rational as well as useful results to the Indian situation from a quantitative point of view. |
