Esta investigación pretende comparar el nivel de adopción del rol materno en madres adolescentes primerizas según su grupo de convivencia. Se utilizó la “Escala A.R.M”, creada para fines de la investigación y se demostraron sus propiedades psicométricas. La muestra estuvo conformada por 66 madresadolescentesprimerizasentrelos14y20añosdeedadqueacudíanaunhospitaldeTrujillo. Se determinó que el grupo de convivencia donde la madre adolescente primeriza logra un nivel predominantemente medio de adopción del rol materno es el compuesto por la madre adolescente, su pareja y la familia de origen de ésta; mientras que en un nivel bajo se encuentra el grupo compuesto por la madre adolescente y su familia de origen.

This research aims to compare the adoption level of the maternal role in first-time adolescent mothers according to their support group. We used the "ARM Scale ", created for research purposes, its psychometric properties were demonstrated. The sample consisted of 66 first-time adolescent mothers between 14 and 20 years old who were attending in a hospital in Trujillo. It was determined that the living group where first-time adolescent mothers achieve an average level predominantly through adoption of the maternal role is the group composed by a teenage mother, her partner and her family of origin while at a low level is the group composed of a teenage mother and her family of origin.
