| Abstract | The gender equality on educational conditions as well as educational achievement was investigated using the descriptive analyses. Analyses were based on the Reading and Mathematics test scores and some background information from over 60,000 Grade 6 pupils and some 6,000 Grade 6 teachers collected through two sub-regional studies on educational quality undertaken in 1995 and 2000 (known as SACMEQ I and SACMEQ II). |
