<p>123. Column 52: Number of housing units.</p>
<div class="i1">Please record the number of housing units in the household. If the household has two <span class="lang">rontaboles</span> and one <span class="lang">polata</span>, then the number of housing units is 2 for <span class="lang">rontabole</span> and 1 for <span class="lang">polata</span>. Check annex 4 for definitions of different types of houses.</div><p>124. Column 53: Number of rooms.</p>
<div class="i1">Please record the number of rooms for each housing unit in the household. Do not include bathroom and toilet, include garages if they are used for living purposes, and exclude the garage if it keeps the car. If the household has more than one house, enter number of rooms for each building excluding the stables and rooms used for agricultural purposes.</div>

Description

Definition

This variable indicates the number of heisi houseing units. Heisi are rectangular buildigns with thatched roof and walls of sandstone, rubble, mud, sand, cement, brick and render. Internally, the heisi is normally finished and the number of rooms is usally three or less.
