Definition
For young children with a fever or cough in the past 2 weeks, FEVTRTZ6 indicates, in response to an open-ended question, whether the child received treatment at a religious district hospital for this illness. This response category is country-specific to Tanzania.
Some samples in the "FEVTR" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.
FEVTRTZ6 is combined with FEVTRTZ5 (religious referral/district hospital), FEVTRTZ7 (religious health center), and FEVTRTZ8 (religious dispensary) in FEVTRPRIVMIS (all faith-based facilities) for the 2004 and 2010 Tanzania samples. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using FEVTRTZ6 are encouraged to review FEVTRPRIVMIS for a more comprehensive response category.
