The place of birth should not be confused with the hospital or place where the birth occurred.</p>
<p>The possible situations are:</p>
<p><span class="em">In this canton</span>: consider this option if, at the moment of birth of the person</p>

<p>the mother resided in the same canton, where the person currently lives. In this case mark option 1 and continue to question 7.</p>
<p><span class="em">In another canton</span>: consider this option if at the moment of birth of the person, the mother resided in another canton, distinct from that where the person currently resides.</p>
<p>If this is the situation mark option 2 and proceed to ask for the name of the canton and of the providence of residence of the mother at the moment of birth of the person and note the answer that corresponds.</p>
<p>If the informant does not exactly know, note any reference such as a neighborhood or district that allows you to determine later on the correct location. Once the information is obtained continue to question 7.</p>
<p><span class="em">In another country</span>: this option must be considered when the person was born in another country; in which case ask for the name of the country and mark it if it appears on the list. If it is not found in the list, continue by noting it in the blank spaces.
