    Abstract

    Census of Population, Households and Dwellings in 2011 was the first census in Montenegro since Montenegro gained independency in 2006 and tenth conducted in territory of Montenegro. Census 2011 was conducted in period 1 - 15 April 2011, by methodology which is in accordance with international standards used for determination of common rules in collecting population data. Population Census 2011 was the first census independently conducted by MONSTAT, as well as first controlled by an international institution (EC-EUROSTAT).

    The scope of the Montenegro Census of Population, Households, and Dwellings 2011 includes:
    Individuals: Name, sex, date of birth, place of resident, marital status, number of live born children, citizenship, national or ethnic affiliation, native language, religion, education, literacy, employment, activity, occupation, disability, aids/assistance, etc.
    Households: Use of the dwelling, total area of the dwelling, number of premises within dwelling, kitchen, bathroom, toilet, installation, ownership, floor, year of building construction, type of building, material of outside building wall, list of persons, etc.
