Occupancy of the dwelling</span><br /><br />Take into account the following criteria:<br /><br />[Below the text is a form.]<br /><br /><div class="i1"><span class="em">Occupied with persons present</span><br />When at the moment of the census a person or persons are present in a dwelling who live in it.<br /><br /><span class="em">Occupied with all persons absent</span><br />When in a dwelling there is furniture and domestic equipment, but its inhabitants are absent at the moment of the census; or when an adequate interviewed person is not found in the dwelling, for example when they are only children, or only with persons with communication difficulties or only domestic employees, etc.<br /><br /><span class="em">Unoccupied</span><br />When a dwelling is uninhabited.</div><br /><br />Before selecting the response, verify the condition of occupancy. If you do not receive a response when knocking on a dwelling, consult with the neighbors to know if it is uninhabited (option 3) or its inhabitants are absent in the moment of the census (option 2).<br /><br />Do not trust signs such as "for sale" or "for rent", it is possible that it is occupied. Always knock on the door.<br /><br />You can find the case of <span class="em">dwellings that are used for lodging in certain times of the year</span>, as vacations, three day weekends, weekends (persons who at times occupy it reside in another place).
