How to carry out the investigation</span></div><br /><div class="i2"><span class="em">Electric</span>: The type of electrical service in the dwelling is investigated. This can be electric lighting from a public service, from a private generator, or from another source.<br /><br /><span class="em">From a public service</span>: This is understood to be the service provided by the National Light and Power Company (ENALUF) or by a municipality or by a company that sells or provides electricity service to various dwellings.<br /><br /><span class="em">Private generator station</span>: This refers to the electricity obtained via an installation privately owned by the dwelling's occupants.<br /><br /><span class="em">Other source</span>: Those other cases not contemplated in the above definitions.<br /><br /><span class="em">Other type of lighting</span>: This refers to the lighting from gas (kerosene) lanterns or other forms of lighting (carbide, gasoline, or alcohol lantern, candles, torches, etc.)</div><br /><br /><div class="i1"><span class="em">b. How to record the data</span><br />The box corresponding to the type of lighting most commonly used is marked with an "X".
